Septic to sewer service will require permits. Relax, we help with applications.
After permit approvals, the site will need to be excavated - this is the trench for the new sewer line. Before the trench can be started, all underground utilities must be located and flagged. The new sewer line must slope downward from the home to the city sewer connection. If the property doesn't meet the necessary slope requirements, an ejector pump will be needed.
The connection at the street is referred to as the sewer tap. Some cities provide pre-installed sewer taps. Throughout the construction process three separate inspections by government officials are required. After approval we backfill the trench.
After your new sewer line is connected and inspections passed, it's time to remove your old septic system. First the tank is pumped. The top and bottom is then crushed and filled with fill-dirt and or gravel.
